EMERGENCY TOWN HALL MEETING FOR RESIDENTS with Q & A Session

Wednesday, August 20th 2014 at 6:30pm

(this meeting was agreed to by the Shelby Twp Supervisor and a resident to accommodate all concerned as this is a very important issue that is going to impact our area)

Discussion will be on Drilling for Oil and Gas in Shelby Township in Residential areas

All concerned residents from all cities and townships are invited to attend to ask questions and voice their concerns regarding the current well site near 25 mile and Dequindre Roads, other future well sites, planned production facilities, and oil pipelines in residential areas.

Dr. Chris Grobbel of Grobbel Environmental was invited by the residents to speak at this meeting. Mr. Grobbel is a Phd. and an expert in his field. He teaches at MSU and has worked for the DEQ. He is going to present a no-nonsense, clear and thorough presentation on the environmental impacts of oil drilling in our area. This presentation will be from 6:30pm – 8pm

West Bay Exploration from Traverse City, Michigan was invited by the Twp and will give their presentation from 8pm – 9:30pm

Other Distinguished Guests will be attendance as well as the Shelby Twp Board of Trustees. Light refreshments will be served.
